Bio: Jon Gray is the General Manager of Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas and returns to the property where his hospitality management career began. In his role, Gray oversees marketing, branding, guest experience, luxury suite sales, pool, nightlife, events, entertainment and future project developments. With a renewed vision for Palms, Gray will play an instrumental role in the reinvention and transformation of the iconic resort, recently acquired by Station Casinos in 2016.
Gray most recently joins the company from Nike where he served as the Senior Director of Global Member Programs. There, he developed membership programs and advanced several physical and digital services around the world. His most notable accomplishments with Nike include the addition of two flagship stores in New York and Miami, additional in-store customer services and upgrades to the popular Nike+ apps. Prior to Nike, Gray served in various roles with Caesars Entertainment leading teams as General Manager of The Linq, the $550M retail, dining and entertainment center which added the skyline-changing High Roller Observation wheel, Vice President of Marketing for The Cromwell, Flamingo and Linq Hotel & Casino. Additionally, he served as the Global Head of Nightlife.
Gray’s tenure with Palms began in 2005 when he accepted an Assistant Hotel Manager position. He quickly ascended through the company, then owned by the Maloof family where he quickly became a trusted advisor to President and CEO George Maloof. He led the development of the Fantasy Suites project as a Special Operations Manager. As he took on more responsibilities, he was promoted to Vice President of Brand and Revenue Development which included sales and operations of the Fantasy Suites, marketing initiatives, sponsorships, several venue openings, and supervision of the resort’s highest profile clients and events. He was then appointed the Senior Vice President and General Manager of the N9NE Group and oversaw all marketing and operations of the Palms’ four nightclubs, two restaurants and the pool.
Jon was born and raised in Tonopah, Nevada and received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. He is excited to return to the city he calls home with his wife Ruth, two children Nash Danger and Knox Thunder and their dog Bentley.
