Before joining Make-A-Wish Southern Nevada: I was completing my master’s degree, and working as a public speaking instructor at UNLV. I even got to be a speech coach for a TEDx event once!

Education: During my freshman year of college I left Las Vegas and headed for Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. After realizing I wasn’t cut out for the cold, this desert baby transferred back home, where I received my undergraduate degree from UNLV in Communication Studies, with a minor in Journalism and Media Studies. I then went on to complete my master’s degree in Communication Studies at UNLV.

About me: I love spending time with my family – aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins, included. We are all HUGE Green Bay Packers fans, so watching the games, and occasionally attending a game, is a must for us (my sweet boyfriend is still getting used to how intense our house is on Sundays). I also love wandering aimlessly through Target, hanging out with my wheaten terrier puppy, Chester, and singing the Hamilton soundtrack at the top of my lungs during any and all car rides.

My favorite thing about working at Make-A-Wish Southern Nevada: Getting to see all of the hard work, dedication, and love that goes into making a wish happen. There are so many moving pieces, and I love being able to see how everyone works together so diligently to create the most incredible experiences for our Wish Kids!

My wish would be: My one wish would be to see the play, Hamilton.
Being engaged is a way of doing life, a way of living and loving. It’s about going to extremes and expressing the bright hope that life offers us, a hope that makes us brave and expels darkness with light. That’s what I want my life to be all about – full of abandon, whimsy, and in love.” ”
