But it can also come with a lot of stress.
Between hectic schedules and homework, to more serious issues like bullying, navigating the next nine months can get tricky. Make-A-Wish® Southern Nevada can help.
Did you know studies have shown that volunteering may have positive effects on health, including reducing stress and boosting self-esteem? These days, kids need as much positive reinforcement as possible! That’s where our Kids for Wish Kids® program comes in.
Ryan and wish kid, Kaila sell shirts designed by wish kids to raise money for Make-A-Wish Southern Nevada.
This special program was designed to help your kids discover the joy of giving back while adopting leadership skills and realizing the value of teamwork. They also have the opportunity to create a unique fundraiser with the goal of helping make wishes come true. These are the lessons they can’t learn from sitting at a desk!
It has always been the goal of Make-A-Wish to bring strength and hope to children battling a life-threatening medical condition; but we believe all kids should have the opportunity to experience pure joy. Our Kids for Wish Kids program can help uncover your child’s compassion for kids just like them.

And there are many other ways you and your family can give back! From greeting a wish kid at the airport to donating airline miles, it’s easy to find out how to use your special talents and resources, regardless of how much (or little) time you have. We know how busy schedules can be!
From the Make-A-Wish Southern Nevada family to yours, we hope this is the best school year yet.
