Introducing #GamingGives, a campaign that encourages local gaming companies (the ones that develop the innovative slot machines and other interactive games you see in our famous casinos) to pay it forward. Literally.
During the month of February, participating gaming company employees are encouraged to give up an indulgence (like the donuts that always appear in the break room on Fridays), all for the sake of giving back to Make-A-Wish® Southern Nevada.
The rules are simple. Employees make an initial $20 donation to Make-A-Wish as a pledge of their commitment. If they are caught sneaking their favorite maple glazed treat (or whatever they chose to give up), their donation doubles to $40. And if they cave again? Yep, another $20 goes to making wishes come true for kids battling critical illnesses.
In 2018, AGS, IGT and Aristocrat all decided to see what they could give up in order to give back. AGEM also donated $1,500 to Make-A-Wish® on behalf of the #GamingGives campaign. AGS, IGT and Aristocrat each got their own donation webpage where employees could choose to post what they were giving up (or attempting to anyway), and track the donation progress. How’d they do? Let’s take a look:

We know it must have been hard (good thing February is a short month, right?) but we are beyond grateful for the #GamingGives campaign. Special thanks to the generosity of AGEM and the sacrifices made by the employees at AGS, IGT and Aristocrat. Now even more lives can be changed by the power of a wish!
