Through this partnership, we recognized the opportunity to enrich the wish experience within the Hispanic community. Bank of America’s employee resource group HOLA (Hispanic/Latino Organization for Leadership Advancement) saw that communication barriers exist between Spanish-speaking families and Make-A-Wish Southern Nevada. They set out to help us fulfill our bilingual volunteer needs and create a fluid exchange with wish families.
Bank of America’s gift of support this summer will not only helps us diversify our volunteer team, it will allow us to continue to educate Hispanic communities about who qualifies for a wish and how that wish can be an integral part of a child’s treatment.
Thank you, Bank of America for helping us to bridge the gap between Spanish-speaking families, and for making our mission your passion.
