Junior Volunteers are under the age of 18 and assist our staff with specific needs such as poster creation, letter writing for wish kids, speaking engagements, and participating in our Kids for Wish Kids program. We love Junior Volunteers and are always open to new ideas to encourage excitement for volunteering and supporting their community!
How did you first get involved with Make-A-Wish?
Make-A-Wish was a service opportunity that we heard about through our high school.
What experience or wish has been most impactful for you?
Every wish that we have seen has left a mark on our hearts.
What do you wish other people knew about Make-A-Wish?
It is a great way to get involved with the community. We wish people knew how involved everyone is, including the volunteers when it comes to granting a wish.
What do you do when you aren’t volunteering?
Focusing on school and volunteering at other places such as Miracle League.
If you could say one word about your experience with MAW, what would it be? Why?
Inspirational. Whether it is seeing a wish reveal or making posters while learning about the wish kiddos, it always inspires us to do good in our community. It inspires us to share the same love to people that all of the people at Make-A-Wish share with their wish families.
Make-A-Wish® Southern Nevada relies on dedicated junior volunteers, like Reese and Elli, to help grant the wishes of children battling critical illnesses in our community.
