Justin's new computer and games helped him through his hospital stays. The escape through games helped pass the time.
At 14 years old, Justin was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Hospital stays for chemotherapy treatments do not leave much of an outlet for a lot of activities, but Justin found his escape through video and computer games. Not long after his diagnosis, wish granters from Make-A-Wish® visited the shy and reserved Justin to seek his one true wish. He combined his love for video games and the desire to remain occupied at the hospital, by ultimately wishing for a laptop computer and games.
Justin and his family hopped in their awaiting limousine to begin the fulfillment of his wish. As his limousine arrived at Best Buy®, he was greeted by the store manager, who also arranged a Best Buy team member to be his personal shopper for the duration of the shopping spree. Justin finally decided on the perfect laptop and games for his long hospital stays.
After an extraordinary shopping spree, Justin and his family were taken to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner. Justin smiled and said, “This is so cool,” when realizing the restaurant made him an official Cheesecake Factory chef jacket and hat. Justin and his family were overjoyed when Justin’s wish was granted, simply stating that this wish couldn’t have happened at a better time, because now Justin has a way to keep his worries at bay as he ventures into the realms of his video games.
